The Green Man Festival 2012 Reviews

"Muddy and Chilled"
We arrived at the Green Man and it was raining, heavily. The field was already turning into a quagmire but undeterred we found our friends, got the tent up and cracked open a beer. I've been to the Green Man before in 2008 and didn't feel the line up this year was as good, but the atmosphere, location and vibe all make up for that. Top band had to be Dexys, someone who I remember from when I was a kid in the 80s and had clued myself up a bit with the latest album, which I personally think is a corker! Other highlights for me included Ahab and The Lovely Eggs. Toilets were cleaned quite regularly which was a blessing! I personally didn't see much point in having a shower to then have to wade back through six inches of mud back to the tent! The organisation was ok, it kind of felt that after it had rained and we were in we were just left to it. It would have been better if they'd at least tried to stick some straw or woodchips down overnight. One of the tents had a lake in the middle although it was amusing watching a man with a sheep toy on a stick run around in the tent, loose his footing and land face first in the mud!

Bye for now

The Party is Over!

It was a fantastic journey, matching you with music festivals, but it just wasn't meant to be.
The site's still up, so you can nosey around old festival line-ups, but most the party animals have left. Choosefest rests in my project archives
